The average American is finally waking up to the fact that there is something wrong with the United States, and that “something wrong” has more to do with this country’s current leadership than anything else.
These Americans, many of them fine conservative folk, remember back when they were in school, learning about the Soviet Union, and how America would never do those things the USSR did: America would never spy on her own people, would never torture people, would never set up secret prisons, would never fix elections, would never cover up scandalous behavior, would never seek to rewrite history.
These Americans are now waking up to the fact that not only do we do those things, we have signed many of them into law with great fanfare. Now, these Americans discover, if they held pictures of the New America and the Old Soviets, it’d be hard to tell them apart. And that needs to be changed. From the top all the way to the bottom.
