On Oct. 6, 10,000 people (or more) marched from east Seattle to downtown in a demonstration for “no war” in Iraq.
On one street corner stood about 20 warmongers looking scared and betrayed, trying desperately to chant hatred at the world. But, when they saw the slow moving mass of humanity bearing down upon them they quickly surrendered and ran into the shadows of the giant puppets.
The Herald failed to cover this event and submitted a picture depicting a false impression of the day’s events. When asked how they could commit such journalistic fraud, they passed the buck to the Associated Press.
The picture in question portrayed two warmongers as the main focus of the march. In fact, these people were swept away by the courageous people who were standing up for the world’s people. I know what happened, I was there.
