Pucker up, porker: The McCain campaign is outraged that Sen. Barack Obama referred to Sen. John McCain’s policies as “putting lipstick on a pig,” believing the slight was meant for Gov. Sarah Palin.
We’ll give Obama the benefit of the doubt as the cliche has been used so often, even by McCain, that we’re surprised there’s a pig left in Iowa that doesn’t have its snout smeared with Revlon’s Deep Berry.
Change the channeler: JZ Knight, who claims to channel the 35,000-year-old warrior Ramtha, has sued a woman, saying she took Knight’s teachings, changed them a bit and started her own mystic school.
Ramtha testified in court that Knight’s competitor was trying to get away with staining the lips of a wild boar with the juice of red berries.
Pig in a poke: Idaho’s U.S. Sen. Larry Craig, R-Infamous Potatoes, wants to withdraw the guilty plea that followed his arrest in an airport men’s room for allegedly making suggestive motions to an undercover cop in an adjacent stall. His lawyer said Craig’s behavior was “as consistent with innocence as it is with guilt.”
There just isn’t enough lipstick for that pig.
