Plan will simply hold down tax increases

Several recent articles and letters in The Herald have left the impression that I-747 will cut or eliminate taxes. This is not the case. We do need taxes and must pay them to have our form of government.

What this initiative will do is to cut the rapid rate of growth of taxes. This we can live with very easily, as was proven when the Legislature approved the lowering of car licenses.
