I attended the Cascade High School Drama Club’s production of “Fiddler on the Roof” last weekend and was highly impressed. In this day and age of many lackluster efforts by our youth, it is easy to become cynical and disparaging toward high school kids.
With this performance, however, all those misconceptions were blown away and it was so refreshing to see these very talented young adults putting together a production with the scope and complexity of “Fiddler on the Roof.” From the lead (Tim Albertson as Tevye) on down, each performer was exemplary.
The sets, costumes and music all combined with the acting to make it a first-rate, community theater production, and I urge everyone in our community to come out and support these young people. The final show is tonight at 7:30.
