The Ringling Bros. Circus will once again soon come to town.
For readers who may not be familiar with Ringling Bros.’ treatment of its animals, I would urge them to check out www.circuses.com. This website provides undercover film footage of how the elep
hants are trained to do circus tricks through beatings, fear and the memory of punishment.
Along with the elephants, the big cats and horses are terribly mistreated as well. Psychologically, all these circus animals are on the verge of “snapping” and becoming extremely dangerous.
I urge your readers to take a moment to check out this website and see for themselves. Making a decision to take the kiddies to the circus may this year prove to be a choice of boycotting Ringling Bros. and sending them a message.
Circuses without animal acts are fabulous and greatly entertaining.
Let your conscience be your guide.
