Political correctness has gone way too far

What ever happened to common sense? It has been replaced with “political correctness.” When you can sue a gun company after someone has been killed by that company’s gun, then I should be able to sue the company that built my oven after I burned my finger on it. This actually happened in Illinois. How about providing another $300,000 for the accused Green River killer so he can hire more lawyers to defend him, while at the same time Gov. Locke cuts back more from the poor folks? Seems our priorities are a little out of whack, doesn’t it?

In San Diego, there is a new law where anyone building a new home or remodeling their old one has to make it wheelchair accessible. Does this make any sense?

I want to know what ever happened to the old saying “the majority rules”? People can remove a display of Harry Potter books from a library because it might offend someone during Christmas or suspend Santa from Christmas tree lighting because it might offend someone. This is getting to be one screwed up mess and I, for one, am tired of it.
