The Feb. 16 news article about state Sen. Pam Roach’s son being arrested for allegedly selling Oxycontin was, in my opinion, in bad form.
If it was an average Joe Schmoe’s kid, would it make the news? I doubt it. While I may not always agree with politicians and their values or what they stand for, I do believe they have the same rights to privacy as any other citizen – and many of the same problems.
Like any parent, Sen. Roach is likely concerned for her son’s well-being. As a parent myself, I can attest that having this sort of thing plastered all over the newspaper doesn’t help anyone concerned.
