In regard to the one-year anniversary of the horrendous tragedy in Tucson, Ariz., it sure does beg the question: Has anything changed for the better when it concerns politics in this country? I say absolutely not.
In the wake of that terrible day a year ago, politicians vowed to the American public that unity and compromise were going to be the new way in Washington, D.C. Well, that obviously is not the case because divisiveness in politics seems to be at an all-time high. Hopefully, things change this year because sometimes optimism and hope is all we have left.
