Poor kids might have to walk two blocks

I was horrified to read in the Herald’s local section on Monday that some of our under privileged Everett high schoolers are actually forced to park and walk two blocks to attend classes (“Parking permits could solve school jam”).

How humiliating. how degrading – how can we let children suffer so? Two whole blocks – on foot. Having to carry MP3 Players, lattes, McBreakfasts, maybe even books, all that distance. Wow! The inhumanities of our modern world – shame – shame.
