In the week leading up to the Fourth of July, walking around my neighborhood I noticed that at least half of my neighbors were flying our flag proudly in their front yards.
There still is major pride in our nation.
With the upcoming election, how does this great country only have the choice of the apprentice host, or lady pantsuit, who can’t control her email be our alternatives?
In the greatest nation in the world this is the best we could come up with?
People are thinking this in every conversation about the state of times but seem to be afraid to talk about the truth.
We are headed like the Roman Empire in a downward spiral of lost leadership.
With being spread too thin and too much dependence on outside influences.
If this is our future then I suggest we as a people look out for our own. Get involved with the concept of caring. Not with just yourself but the downtrodden, the homeless, the hungry.
Maybe if we as individuals take care of what we see, instead of what we can’t control. The flags we fly, the pride we feel, will still mean something!
