Premise has served this nation well

In response to the 20-year-old who wants the Ten Commandments removed from in front of the police station in Everett, I would like to give the opinion of a 70-year-old who should also be heard.

When is the absurdity going to stop? The “politically correct” should take a look at their surroundings. Are we going to get rid of the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., as well as the Supreme Court building? Bible verses are in stone all over federal buildings and monuments. What about the Lincoln, Washington and Jefferson memorials?

Our forefathers founded this country and its laws on the premise of the Ten Commandments. No nation has ever prospered as ours. Let’s be sensible.
