Regarding the Monday letter, “Deniers’ tactics are so predictable”:
I agree 100 percent with what this writer has said, but I wanted to add another point that I’ve found to be very persuasive.
Even if every scientist is wrong and global warming is not a threat, the act of fighting global warming will create millions of jobs, clean the environment and give us cheap, renewable and clean energy so that we can move on from the fossil fuels that at the very least stink and slowly kill us individually from cancer and a host of other illnesses. If the scientists are right and global warming is real and we didn’t fight it, it means the end of the human race and probably life on this planet as we know it.
So balance those two scenarios in your mind and tell me if you want to roll the dice on humanity just so you don’t have to change.
