I simply can no longer bear to sit here with my copy of The Herald and read one more misinformed and ignorant opinion about our president and this still-to-happen war without making some attempt to represent the informed right. I am referencing several readers from the March 7 edition. First, if our president really is a warmonger like all you manipulative liberals want us to believe, this war would have been started a long time ago.
Second, our government, believe it or not, does not owe us total truth in all its affairs. Really now, can you possibly imagine what the level of anarchy would be in our country if we let some of you malcontents know what was really going on?
Third, this war, contrary to what Hollywood and its bedfellows wants us to believe, is not against the people of Iraq! This war, if it even happens, is against a lower-than-Stalin and Hitler dictator who uses his own people as scapegoats to make the United States look bad, who manipulates and lies wherever he can get away with it.
Our president has deemed all those who died a year and a half ago worthy of this fight. Is that intolerant? If you think this is about oil, you are narrow-minded. To think otherwise is to diminish the value of these Americans (and others from other countries – who have essentially been abandoned by their countrymen) and their contribution to a better America and better world. So to all you protesters I say get a life. Let the president do his job.
