I read the article titled “Bush Pushing Embryo Adoption” and three words came to mind: “Oh My God!”
Doesn’t that man have enough important stuff to handle? Like helping the millions of real people with arms and legs, and lives – with hunger, joblessness, achieving world peace, and finding homes?
This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. It is another man-made problem that millions of our tax dollars will now go towards to fund and fix.
Calling the passing of a glob of cells in a petri dish to another person “adoption” is ludicrous. How about “Take an Embryo to Lunch” or “Send an Embryo to Camp”? No, I know! We can make tiny little T-shirts and outfit them with microscopic baseballs and bats and have “The Seattle Embryos.” Let’s build them a stadium!
Please, get real President Bush – save your energy for something that matters. Leave these science projects to science and let research that is necessary be performed.
This could set us back eons in reversing our right to have abortions by deeming these little sea-monkeys “people.” There are millions of real babies that need to be adopted. Concentrate on that, and leave this one alone. Besides, it’s so entertaining when one of those women gives birth to a “litter of humans.” The press loves that – what’s the record now, eight? Let’s go for a dozen!
