Regarding the Monday editorial “Ink on paper won’t be fading anytime soon”: I have been reading The Herald for 31 years. The reporter who does not read newspapers (from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer) shows ignorance along with being shortsighted. Having moved here in 1976, far from family and friends, as soon as I picked up your newspaper – I was home!
Newspapers will always be needed; not everyone as Web access. Newspapers are still the best value for the money. They cover in detail what the network media cannot. Now happily retired and still short on time, I rely on The Herald, as I always have, to fill me in. There is no excuse for not being well informed. Subscribe and support your local newspaper. My parents did, I do, and my future grandchildren will. Thanks for a great read always!
