Sadly, folks are far off base when it comes to fixing the “noise” issue on the Fourth of July holiday. All of the noisy exploding fireworks are sold on reservations. The safe-and-sane fireworks sold at the little stands along the road, the ones that support local charities, barely sparkle, crakle or pop.
Want to fix the problem with noise, injuries and fires on Fourth of July then work with the reservations to halt the sale of the illegal fireworks that cause 99 percent of the issues folks are truly concerned with.
