I live in beautiful Snohomish County, where the developer-financed majority on the Snohomish County Council is working hard to trash the Growth Management Act protections against sprawl.
I live in wonderful Washington where the government is all but paralyzed by constant threats from a former watch salesman turned political profiteer who enjoys almost daily free publicity on radio, TV and in the newspapers.
I was lucky enough to be born in the United States where the attorney general wants to catalog my history and my every waking moment in case I become a threat to national security. Where a rainbow of warnings from Homeland Security tells me how likely I am to be attacked in some unpredictable way. And where the appointed president has defied most of the world to take our young men and women half-way around the world to kill and be killed because U.N. inspectors weren’t able to find weapons of mass destruction.
You say I seem tense. Tense? Who, me?
