Recently I noticed a pedestrian traffic light on Highway 99 that was malfunctioning; one of the push buttons was missing and the walk light was coming on during every cycle whether or not there were pedestrians using it. This made traffic on 99 wait longer than necessary. Last Monday I called a DOT maintenance number in Everett and talked to a woman who told me she would forward my comments to the appropriate people. That evening I was amazed to find that both problems had been fixed. Thanks, DOT people, for doing a good job.
