President Obama is striding onto the pages of history not only for being our first African-American president, twice elected, not only for supporting and introducing national health care but, for entering the names of Seneca Falls, Selma, and Stonewall into our lexicon of venerated names like Lexington, Concord, Bunker Hill, Yorktown, Gettysburg and Appomattox.
We the People have been on a journey of excellence that began with the adoption of our Constitution in 1787. I am so very proud to be an American and, in some small way, a part and supporter of this exceptional journey.
