Providence Children’s Association grateful to all for generosity

As president of Providence General Children’s Association, I wish to take this seasonally appropriate opportunity to thank our board members, guild members and volunteers for their significant contributions to support the health-care needs of children in our community.

Throughout the year, our guilds host a variety of engaging events to raise money for our cause. Whether it’s a delightful tapas summer garden party, the fall Fashion with Compassion event, a lively Bunko party, the festive Teddy Bear Breakfast, or sales of holiday poinsettias and See’s Chocolates for Valentines Day, our members always bring astonishing energy and fun to our efforts.

A special thank you goes out to our gift shop managers and their amazing volunteers. Donating 100 percent of all profits, their hard work and dedication enables us to support important local charities including Dawson Place, Camp Prov, the Hospice Carousel Program and a host of other worthy causes. I encourage everyone to stop and shop at the Pavilion Boutique at the Pavilion for Women and Children or the Twig Shop on the Colby Campus for unique gifts and cheerful holiday decor.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I never have to look far to find so many reasons to feel thankful.

Mary Lou Finley

President
