Just a quick note to thank all the people in the community for the cards, letters, prayers and support they have given to me and my family after my recent injury.
On Aug. 6, participating at a live fire drill with Snohomish County Fire District 26 (Gold Bar), there was an explosion in the live fire-training prop. The crew at the scene quickly rendered aid. Airlift Northwest took me to Harborview where I spent the next several days in the ICU-burn unit. From the moment of the injury the community gave me and my family more support than any one person could expect.
The explosion rendered me blind in one eye and we are still waiting to see how much vision will return in the other. Without your support this experience could have been even more devastating to our family. I ask that you continue to pray for my family and me. Again thank you for the amazing support.
