It doesn’t seem fair to me that Allison Arnold, who allegedly drove his car in anger, resulting in the death of Georgia Pemberton, may get two years behind bars, while Rey Rivas Jr., who accidentally shot Susie Buren in the stomach (she also died) will most likely get 12 years.
Both were accidents. Both men should have known better. But isn’t a vehicle as dangerous as a gun, especially with an angry man behind the wheel? Rey Rivas admitted his guilt and is going to have to live with that. Allison Arnold is fighting his charge. I don’t know the man – but Rey Rivas should certainly receive a more lenient sentence, if one at all.
