Regarding the recent article, “Quick-thinking staff at Silver Lake store saves a life”:
I would like to thank The Herald for publishing this article and commend the Fred Meyer employees for their heroism and quick thinking. As the parent of a severely food-allergic child, I know how easily a quick trip to the grocery store or mall can end in a ride in an ambulance or worse.
I read this article to my daughter, and she feels a little bit safer knowing that there are people at one of our favorite stores who are willing and able to help should she have an allergic reaction. I would like to thank all of the people who helped for showing such concern and compassion to a stranger in need.
