It’s almost time for the best in college sports, and that’s Cougar football! With great anticipation the throngs of Washington State University fans will venture west to Seattle on Aug. 30 to see new coach Paul Wulff and his redesigned Cougar football team play Oklahoma State at Qwest Field. Change is good and I think Wulff will prove this over the next few seasons.
However, some things won’t change; among them the inhospitable attitude at Qwest Field. There is no tailgating allowed there. Yes, that’s right. Besides being overpriced, the parking lots are the first introduction to the anti-football attitude at Qwest. Even if you find a good tailgating spot, you still have to be searched and manhandled by the gate security staff.
That being done, now you can enjoy some really exciting football and sit with your fellow Cougs, who know how to treat guests and make football Saturdays something to look forward to for another year.
Just remember, don’t park in the main field lots and your Cougar experience will start out well. Go Cougs!
