There goes our Department of Transportation, throwing more of our tax money away on concrete barriers between Smokey Point and Marysville. Why not give that money to the State Patrol to hire and retain more officers? That would make more sense. Every morning around 5, there must only a few of us who obey the speed limit going south. People are always doing about 70-plus mph and there is not one semi that is doing the posted limit of 60 mph for trucks.
Why don’t they just put a officer with a radar gun on the old train trestle there at 116th pointing in both directions and have cars at the crest of the hill pulling these morons over? I’m sure the state would make a easy grand per week in traffic fines alone. Plus, start denying Canadians entry in the state if they have, let’s say, more than two traffic offenses in a year while they are passing though at their usual 80 mph.
