I am very disappointed about the budget cuts concerning Squire Creek campground. I feel that this is not the place where budget cutting should be done.
This is a very beautiful, well-maintained park. Park Ranger Joe Miller has taken very good care of it. He keeps out those who drink and do drugs and provides a safe environment for everyone. He is always driving around the park to make sure everyone is OK and that there are no problems.
Squire Creek Park always looks neat and clean and I have had lots of picnics and family gatherings there. My grandchildren have had Easter egg hunts there, which they really enjoyed. We have gone swimming in the creek on hot summer days. I camp alone and I feel very safe there and if there isn’t a park ranger there, I will not camp there anymore.
Think about it! We need the park ranger there for our safety and the safety of others.
