Rawson eager to listen to citizens

In response to the Oct. 1 letter about council member Ron Gipson’s “worst attendance record” at Everett City Council meetings — his lack of attendance at his own neighborhood meetings can trump that.

As the secretary of the View Ridge/Madison Neighborhood group from 2003-2006, I never saw Mr. Gipson, a Madison resident, attend regularly scheduled meetings. I have also verified his continued absence during the regular meeting cycle from 2006 to date.

Charlene Rawson, candidate for City Council Position 4, knows that hearing from constituents on their home turf is vital, because along with other neighbors I have discussed it with her. That is one reason why her campaign signs are popping up in the neighborhood. I urge voters to consider a council member who cares about our concerns and will seek us out.
