The issues facing Everett require leadership and action on the Everett City Council. We are not getting this with Ron Gipson.
Ron Gipson only serves on five committees, where other City Council members serve on nine or more. Recently, the Delta Neighborhood held our annual neighborhood clean-up event sponsored by the city of Everett.
Charlene Rawson, Ron’s opponent, was there at 9 a.m. on a chilly Saturday. The mayor stopped by. Where was Ron Gipson? His absence is indicative of his tenure on the City Council. Ron Gipson is often missing in action.
With Charlene’s help, the Delta Neighborhood Cleanup filled up 11 Dumpsters with trash that would otherwise have been sitting in an alley. We need someone on the City Council who’s willing to roll up her sleeves and work, not serve a term on City Council and then run for mayor. We don’t need a professional politician, we need a community activist with a knowledge of the issues and a work ethic like Charlene Rawson. I encourage voters to support Charlene Rawson for Everett City Council position 4.
