Herald reporter Noah Haglund’s June 30 article “Despite critics, Nate Nehring racking up endorsements” is misleading in its reference to Democratic candidate Ray Miller.
Mr. Miller’s quote deep in the article is a comment about his own experience, but is mischaracterized as an attack on Councilman Nehring’s youth. It is unreasonable of the reporter to suggest that Mr. Miller should not speak to one of his strengths, which is experience, because it might put an opponent at a disadvantage.
The only point of this article appears to be that Mr. Nehring’s opponents are being mean to him. But if Mr. Nehring wants to be respected as a leader and as a candidate maybe he needs to realize that politics is a tough game and take his lumps just like everyone else.
