The White House and the Congress have made my voting choices very simple for the period between now and November 2024. I am almost to the same decision regarding local, county and state elected officials.
I am not a Democrat nor a Republican. I am certainly not a supporter of any other party (legitimate or not).
Given that neither seems to be able to work together to get things done, I am ready to take a chance on others who may be able to do a better job (it would not take too much to improve on what we have now). I am almost to the same decision regarding local, county and state elected officials.
I am not planning to support or vote for any individual who is currently serving in an elected position in the federal government. None of them. I am almost to the same decision regarding local, county, and state elected officials.
Maybe a completely new, clean slate of elected official will lead to improved governance that could arrive at better decisions for policies which will help all of the governed.
I am almost positive that if we get a new slate of elected officials, we will not be worse off and maybe we could be better. Different, hungry elected officials are always looking to make a name for themselves for subsequent elections. Most are anxious to tell constituents “look what I did!”
I wish I had tried this approach in past election cycles. I will use it for future elections Live and learn someone told me a long time ago.
