Concerning the letter, “Decrying the rich is biting the hand”: The writer is correct. The rich do provide lots of jobs.
Take Apple, for instance. From what I’ve read, they provide about 48,000 jobs in the U.S. and over 200,000 in China. I’ll just bet their not the only American industry that works that way.
Also, small businesses provide as many or more jobs in this country without all the government subsidies and tax breaks awarded the big industries.
Maybe President Bush was right when he said, “Outsourcing is good for the country.”
