If it weren’t so serious I would be rolling on the ground laughing. When people voted out high auto licenses, our court system threw it out, only to be given back by “King Locke.” Now our court system has thrown out seat belt tickets and the police say they will still issue tickets.
It makes you wonder about our government system. If it gives money to the state, it’s good. If it takes money away from the state, it’s bad. I hope voters and taxpayers keep this thought in their heads at voting time: Forgive but never forget. Which brings to mind something a county official said about not punishing the voters by raising taxes, but instead tightening local government’s belt.
I thought we were the government, not things to be punished or bullied. We freed Iraq, now let’s free America.
