Reflect on qualities that MLK advised make us strong

In reflecting on the work and message of Martin Luther King Jr. this week, I am reminded of what makes America truly great. It is not militarism, wealth or global dominance. America’s greatness comes when we are:

Strong in compassion;

Strong in diversity;

Strong in inclusion;

Strong in listening;

Strong in our willingness to learn;

Strong in humility;

Strong in generosity;

Strong in creative problem-solving;

Strong in collaboration;

Strong in democracy.

Any greatness we have or will achieve in the future comes from being strong in these areas. Thank you, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.!
