I agree very strongly with the Monday letter, “AG’s argument doesn’t hold up.”
Doing something is much better than doing nothing and we have needed health care reform for a very long time.
People are living longer and people are wanting the best health care they can get to maintain their quality of life. No politician in the past has stepped up and recognized that. We have to make changes and we have to start somewhere! I’m also tired of hearing on TV that the people don’t want this. I believe the majority do. They are the silent majority. The minority are more vociferous, that’s all.
I don’t want McKenna using state funds on another wasteful idea. People are afraid of change and that is the problem. Once this process gets going and they find it is a good thing. It will be like Social Security and Medicare, and they will wonder what took so long.
