Kudos to The Herald’s Melissa Slager for her Dec. 11 article on “Safe passages for salmon.” Her article was well-written, to the point that I was swimming with the salmon through hazardous waters to their spawning ground myself. It was eye-opening. And the information provided on the 2013 U.S. District court ruling provided the answer to why we’ve seen so many culverts and fish passages being improved lately.
I haven’t been so engaged in an article for some time and just felt the need to thank the author for such an in-depth piece of writing.
