Lake Tye is a haven for hikers, boaters, swimmers, fishing families. Out of six lakes I fish, this is the only lake that produces a trout with the flesh color and taste of a Coho salmon!
I have witnessed restrictions to boating, swimming and fishing by groups who literally buy the area and change water quality.
Summer of 2011 — public not allowed to use outboard motors, I witnessed a large speed boat (150 horsepower) pulling skiers on to a ramp.
Recent proposal — to encompass the perimeter with steel cable for another sport.
Who pays for the upkeep of this beautiful lake/park? The very people who are restricted from using it — especially on weekends when a multitude of families are present.
Does money rule the roost in this henhouse?
