Every time I now drive south on Broadway and view the devastation at the former Jazwieck Park, I feel nothing but contempt for our city’s leaders. We came together as a neighborhood, signed petitions and attended meetings, all for the effort of saving this valuable neighborhood resource from the developers. Our efforts failed, but the city got its property tax money from the harvested trees.
In the future we’ll see this once beautiful land turned into more crime ridden apartments. Thanks, City Hall!
