Regarding the article, “3 men, 3 religions: Community discussion planned on faiths’ shared values”: It is true that we should respect and learn about other people’s religions, and there is value to discussion. However, Mr. Siddigui, a Muslim, is incorrect in stating that Christians, Muslims, and Buddhists are all “children of the same God.”
Christians worship a God who has a Son.
Muslims worship a God who does not have a son.
Buddhists do not believe in a creator deity at all, but Muslims and Christians do.
Question: How can all three groups believe in the same god?
Answer: They do not.
