I was with Eugene Robinson all the way until I actually read what the guy wrote (July 22 column: “Using race to smear Obama”).
What if Eddie Murphy had read the same gig on “Saturday Night Live,” then would it have been racist?
We have a black president, the majority of the players in some major league sports are black and still Eugene Robinson is crying “racist.”
I’m white and come from a little town. When I was growing up in the ’60s we had blacks, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Italians and we had no idea they weren’t exactly like us. We had no idea what racism was until people like Robinson started trying to ruffle up feathers.
Eugene, I’ll bet you make a ton more money than I do. You need it for all the tissue you have to buy for all the crying you do — screaming racist, racist, unfair, unfair. When is it going to be fair? When everyone is black? Give it up, and stop being a crybaby.
