This is truly a sad day in being a resident of Snohomish County for over 34 years! The simple Dino Rossi approach taken by The Herald in its endorsement is truly amazing. Rossi has only made one statement during this entire process and that is business will fix everything. Show me where this has worked for our county, state and country in the past.
He gives us no health plan, no education plan, no business plan, opposes a woman’s right to choice, and is known as one of the most conservative legislators. Your talk about how he crafted the budget is misleading. My experience tells he was just one spoke in a big wheel.
Your endorsement tells me your paper really doesn’t care about affordable health care, bringing business to the state, being innovative with new jobs, progressive education reform, protecting our seniors from drug companies, for which I am one, and many other issues in which Chris Gregoire has been a leader.
I only hope the majority of our Snohomish County residents look deeper than your paper in choosing the best qualified person to lead our state. Simple approaches to problem solving and statements which Mr. Rossi has continued to make clearly show he is in over his head.
