One never thinks about the garbage man without being a little disgruntled over having to take it out. I want to tell you of the kindness of one who works for Rubatino.
We had let the recycle sit for an extra week because there wasn’t much in it. Then the following week I was coming home and drove in just as the garbage man drove in. I realized that we had forgotten to put the recycle out and asked him if I could still bring it. He was very cheerful and told me to go ahead.
I discovered that the newspaper one was too full and I couldn’t lift it. He saw my dilemma and came over and picked it up and carried it out and then came back for the other two.
He did not have to do that and for him to be so cheerful and kind he really blessed me that day. I just wish I knew his name. All I know is that his hair was red /sandy color and he had the nicest smile and demeanor. Thank you so much.
