It was 3:49 p.m. on Christmas, when after going here to go there to go back here again, I decided to stop at the Mill Creek Safeway to get a take-home dinner for my wife and myself.
When Jessica finished totaling my bill I reached in my back pocket for my wallet and to my embarrassment it was not there. In a panic I started patting my other three pockets with the same results. No wallet.
Then I remembered I changed my clothes and when I did I forgot to put my wallet in the pants I was wearing.
To help her employee, the store manager, Lindsey, was bagging my five items and she heard me tell Jessica about my money situation. Since the store was closing in 11 minutes for Christmas, Lindsey knew I didn’t have time to go home to get my money. It was then Lindsey came to my rescue. She turned into Santa and when she did she paid for my wife’s and my Christmas dinner!
Thank you Jessica and Lindsey for making my hectic day one, which turned into to a broad smiling Christmas evening.
