Outside the city of Snohomish lies a beautiful jewel, call the G.A.R. Cemetery. G.A.R. stands for “Grand Army of the Republic.” This hollowed ground is on the National Registry. Our beloved ancestors and veterans rest there. Yet, I am ashamed.
I am ashamed for the lack on site of Sani-Can accessible to those with disabilities. Yes, during a funeral service there is a restroom in the office, but it’s not enough. Folks visit this place way more than just for a funeral.
I’ve brought many loved ones to G.A.R. in my taxi, who needed such facilities. To no avail. Believe me, I’ve asked.
In my opinion, G.A.R. should stand for “Got. Any. Restrooms!?
It’s time for a change.
