The Scherf trial is a complete joke. The cost to the state and county is not worth the time this trial will take. The man, if I might call him that, admitted he was guilty of the crime. He wanted to plead guilty in the beginning and get the death penalty. Of course as soon as the lawyers got involved all that changed. Two years since this crime was committed and finally its in court. I guess this is what they call swift justice. All this time Jayme Biendl’s family suffers and waits for something to happen. I’m glad I wasn’t chosen for this jury, they wouldn’t have wanted me anyway, since I know he is guilty and long ago came to a verdict of guilty. The death penalty would be too easy in this case, since it would take more taxpayer money and 20 years before it would happen. Now, just lock him away in some dark, damp hole in the ground until the end of his time. Privileges he was looking for, I think not. He is hardly worth the space in your paper this letter will take.
