My granddaughter has been a student at Discovery Elementary in the Mukilteo School District for three years. I have been privileged to volunteer in her classroom for those years. I have helped kids with reading, math, crafts and whatever else the teacher may ask me to do. I have glued, cut, stapled, copied, filed and written names on report cards and evaluations. I have been happy to help wherever I was needed.
I have seen first-hand what a hard job all staff at Discovery has. Students are treated with respect and loving care. I think Discovery is the best school with the best principal, finest teachers, para-educators, office staff, lunchroom staff and custodians. Bus drivers also take special care of the kids, making sure they are always safe. At any time staff will stop whatever they are doing to help you. Discovery also has a hardworking, awesome PTA. They work tirelessly for the children too. Everyone connected with Discovery has the students’ welfare in mind.
