School officials take smart stand

As the fat cats are greedily asking for bonuses, I am thoroughly impressed by the Lake Stevens administrators and principals choosing to forego their raises for a year. This is the kind of selfless thinking that we need to dig ourselves out of these financial holes. There really is no purpose in taking a raise that will ultimately cause me to lose my job. Better to forego the raise now and hang onto the job, as least awhile longer.

Remember Boeing Machinists going on strike for more money? Now they’re getting laid off. Their “solution” became the problem for them.

Anyway, my hat’s off to the Lake Stevens school chiefs.
