Kudos go to the students, staff and parents at Evergreen Middle School for their recent excellent production of “Fiddler on the Roof.”
The evening began with a personal welcome to each attendee from the principal, Joyce Stewart. Her presence set the tone for an evening in which it was evident that theater arts are an important part of that middle school.
The cast of students did a wonderful and professional job of capturing the essence of the musical. From the beginning, when the first words were spoken in Russian, through the 14 scenes that followed you could feel the effort that went into the production. Even when there was a sound glitch, and the music stopped, the singing continued.
So, the next time you see an announcement for an Evergreen Middle School musical, take the time to go. You will be amazed and delighted.
