Schools should be inspired by results

I wanted to let The Herald know how much I appreciate the fact that you keep us, the public, informed with information regarding our schools. It was quite interesting to see the results of the WASL scores posted.

I think what keeps America great is the competition. By reporting these scores I would hope that our schools would be inspired to achieve even higher grades.

I was pleasantly surprised when I read about Centennial Middle School achieving the scores that were recorded compared to past results. I believe when a school has an outstanding principal to lead, the school’s teachers will perform to a higher expectation, which then results in higher test scores.

I believe Scott Peacock is a highly competent leader who is able to gain respect from his teachers. Because of Mr. Peacock, the teachers at Centennial Middle School are excelling and reaching out to the students. I think Centennial Middle School has some of the best teachers in this state.

Thanks for posting the WASL scores and keeping us informed.
