I strongly disagree with R.M. Scougale, Linda Jinkens, and others who can’t handle Sid Schwab’s column. Scougale quotes Jenkins: “He (Schwab) continues to vomit out hatred of all things Trump.” Do we turn a blind eye when Trump “vomits out” hatred of all things, period? Are we supposed to stand silent while the president spews invective at anyone who has the temerity to stand up to him? If a bully keeps throwing rocks, what are we supposed to do, blow kisses?
It is the patriotic duty of every American to stand up to this megalomaniac. The folks on the far right of the political spectrum blanch any time anyone dares to compare Trump to Hitler, but any student of history can see multiple similarities. The members of the Trump Cult need to remove their blinders.
Right after the election, I saw three women from Arlington gush on TV about our new president, calling him “God’s wrecking ball.” Yeah, let’s just smash everything in the name of God. Try to imagine how you would feel if a wrecking ball showed up at your house. That’s how I feel about my country.
